The enjoyment of life can be sorely diminished when you are experiencing physical pain, mental or emotional stress, or living with chronic illness. Often, in these circumstances, we humans tend to ignore what is happening in the body or, more heartbreakingly, feel that our bodies are the enemy of living the life we truly wish to live.

Your frustration (maybe even anger) and desire to get on with your life is understandable. You’ve done All the Things, which hasn’t addressed the pain. So what else is there to do but ignore your body and get on with it? I wish that answer worked, but more often than not, ignoring the pain, stress, and signals that the body sends leads to the body’s sensations growing in intensity until they cannot be ignored.

It doesn’t feel like it, but these moments invite you to slow down and attune to your body. Therapeutic yoga combined with coaching and energy medicine supports you in becoming your own healer. Is therapeutic yoga right for you?

When you are experiencing pain or chronic tension in your body, naturally, you want that resolved. We see and hear all around us, “Do this one magic thing and your pain will go away.”  We are told there is an easy way to “fix” our problems. That can be true, but often it is not. The pain returns, and the pattern continues because what is causing the pain hasn’t been addressed.

In our sessions together, you are going to become your own healer as you develop awareness of the underlying physical, mental, and emotional patterns that are contributing to your pain. In growing this awareness, you will develop a relationship of power with your body instead of power over. You will find that you move through the world with less pain and more freedom of movement. What is possible for you if you were to care for, nurture, and listen to your body so you move better and feel energized in your day-to-day life?

So, what brings people to therapeutic yoga?

  • Persistent pain in the shoulders and hips, coupled with exhaustion and migraines: One woman struggling with these symptoms found her energy returned, and the pain in her body greatly diminished. Best of all, her near-daily migraines stopped, leaving her with simple garden variety low-level headaches (that are also on the decline).

  • Chronic low back and shoulder pain that limits movement: One woman completed therapeutic yoga and is now pain-free and feels better in her body than she can ever remember. She is excited to know exactly how to listen for (and do) what her body needs to stay energized and healthy.

  • A persistent shoulder issue that impacts range of motion: This woman could barely lift her arm, but within a short period of time, her shoulder pain decreased, and her shoulder mobility increased, allowing her to run after her granddaughter without worry.

Elements of your sessions

Movement

Nourishing awareness of how your body moves is deeply healing. There are no cookie cutter fixes, which is great news. The way that you will explore movement develops your connection with the wisdom of your body’s unique language. 

Breath & Stillness

As a long time facilitator of breathwork and yoga nidra, I know that these two practices help to heal and regulate the nervous system and reset the body. This deep rest invites the body, mind, and spirit to remember your innate wholeness. 

Coaching

The patterns that you experience in your body are very often the same patterns that show up in how you live and work. As we tend to the body, it changes the psyche. You benefit from my many years as a master-certified coach to support you.

It’s me, Nona

For my entire adult life, I've been learning ancient healing practices and energetic modalities, which have honed my skills in supporting and facilitating healing in myself and others.

And yet, my relationship with my own body has been one of my greatest teachers - I am still learning to listen deeply to the language of my body and to honor what she needs to move through the world with ease and grace. I am honored to share what I know with you.

In addition to being a master-certified coach, I am training to be a yoga therapist. I have already trained and facilitated breath and stillness practices to support my clients. I've also mastered various energy healing methods, including Akashic Record Reading and Crystalline energy medicine. I'm also an earth medicine practitioner who utilizes ritual and active imagination to support your healing.

Are you ready to say yes?

I am currently in a two-year training program to master the art of therapeutic yoga. To coach with me, the investment is $350.00 per session. However, I am fulfilling training hours and practicing bringing new mastery to supporting you. As I’m learning, your investment is on a sliding scale from $950 - $1,100.00 for an eight week series (payable over the three months we will work together). Please know that if the low end of the scale is out of reach but this work is speaking to you, please do schedule a call and let’s discuss what is possible for you.

Here’s what to expect

  • 8 bespoke, 60-minute therapeutic yoga sessions over three months. Based on your intentions and desires, each session is tailored to be exactly what you need to rewire you body for more ease and grace in the day to day.

  • Support in between sessions. Choose your favorite platform from Voxer to MarcoPolo to email, I am available to answer questions, witness insights, and celebrate wins on your therapeutic yoga journey.

  • Recordings of key practices and OMwork to support you with consistency. This work is about empowering you to be your own body whisperer. OMwork will support you in practice between our sessions.
