Success is an inside job.
I’m not saying that you won’t want to learn skills that will help you be better at what you are doing, but largely, success is an inside job. You can have all the skills in the world and still not be doing your best work, your most meaningful work, or, be getting paid what you are worth.
It is so easy to look outside for the problem.
“That person had it easy – they don’t have to work….” “I don’t have a head for business.” “I’m a fraud (so why would people hire me?).” “People only want stuff for free – they won’t pay.” “My dog ate my homework.” All of these sound really plausible and place the blame squarely outside of your reach.
But it’s likely that that person who had it easier than you also really had a strong desire to succeed and wasn’t going to let anything stop her. Or, that you could learn the skills that will give you the head for business that will help you create what you want. Or maybe you feel like a fraud because you aren’t telling yourself the truth about something that is REALLY important for you and the work you are doing and that the people who want stuff for free are showing up to illustrate to you how you value yourself at the moment.
The antidote is to lead from within.
To learn from every tiny bit of information that is being given to you and then, to make clear, intentional choices based on clarity, not on muddy reactivity. To seek freedom from that which limits you and freedom to be exactly who you are meant to be.

Freedom (known as enlightenment in yogic terms) leads to success.
To create what you want (aka: success), it’s necessary to lead from within. To question the unquestioned assumptions, to courageously listen to the un-felt emotions, to tap into the rich tapestry of information that your body is always providing and to use your brilliant minds to discern a clear course of integrated action based on your vision for your business and your life.
It always starts with you, leading the charge on your own behalf.
The Universe is always showing you exactly what you need to know to take the next step. You can learn how to do basic accounting and marketing for your business, you can dive in and figure out what you love to do that is deeply valuable to the people you are here to serve, you can clean up your relationship with money and work so people who want to pay you, show up. You can dig in and figure out exactly what story is playing in your head when you are feeling fraudulent.
You’ve got this. Really.
You have everything you need to lead yourself to your very own promised land. Leading from within, leads to what you want (or something even better). What are you bumping up against? Resistance? Fear? Jealousy? Overwhelm? Celebrate your awareness and then dig in. Find freedom from what is holding you back so you have freedom to create the success you long for.
