And the intention is…

Theme for Year: Lean InMy intention/theme for the year has arrived.

Lean In.

It actually showed up two weeks ago, but I like to test it out, see if they are “sticky” before I commit. By sticky, I mean a theme that pops into my head, one I can use like a mantra, one that means something to me on many levels.

This year (2009) my intention was clarity, and clarity was definitely served up. I “got” my calling in life, after that epiphany early in the year, I decided to begin this new venture in coaching, full throttle, by training with Martha Beck and setting up my practice. This work is so much fun and such an obscenely good fit for my skills and talents that I’m filled with gratitude and wonder. What was NOT clear to me until recently is who my “right people” are. Who am I am here to serve.

As a result of this ongoing confusion, I began working with the incredibly talented Judy Murdoch, who is an associate of Mark Silver – two very smart people who focus on business and marketing as a spiritual journey. To me, having a business or work in the world that makes you, and the world, a better place, is something that makes my heart skip a beat with excitement.

During the first session with Judy, it became incredibly clear (as I feared it would) that I am not a health coach. Look up to the top of this page. What do you see? Ah, yes. Insight Health Coaching. Bummer. I’m not doing ANY health coaching. None. Zip. Nada. And someone recently referred to me as health coach and it made me mad. No, I’m not a health coach. I am really clear about that. Now.

So, in the spirit of leaning in (thank you, theme for 2010) to what I am now clear about, let me introduce you to Nona Jordan Coaching & Consulting. I help women in business who willingly juggle work, family, community, and playtime, but want all of it to be meaningful.  What is most excellent about figuring out who I’m serving?  They are pretty much the people I’ve been serving since I started coaching.  I just didn’t recognize it.

I would love to have you subscribe via email or RSS feed. As of today, I will stop posting articles here and eventually, all of the posts from Insight Health Coaching will move over to the new site.  There is a lot coming in the new year, and I hope you will join me.

Themes and intentions are so powerful and can push us to bigger things that we could ever think possible for ourselves.  What is possible in your life this year?  Where are you aiming to be this time, next year?  If you would like to set your own theme for 2010, I will continue to post this month about intention and themes and action plans.  If you are in Rome, I will be holding a workshop on January 9th on setting a theme/intention for 2010.

Happy holiday season – may it be a peaceful one!
